2013 Eduarts® Classic Drama (Living Arts Series): Christmas Holiday Drama Programme

The Gingerbread Man
Adapted by Dr. Vicki OOI
In partnership with the Development & Alumni Affairs Office, The University of Hong Kong

The Gingerbread Man first appeared in 1875 and has become a much-loved classic fairy tale for the young and young at heart.

Everyone loves the outrageous idea that the Gingerbread Man made by a little old woman suddenly comes to life and starts running for his life to escape being eaten! The old woman and her husband, the old man start to run after the Gingerbread Man and along the way, many other animals join the chase.

Will the Gingerbread Man outwit them all, or will he finally fall prey to the cleverest and hungriest of them all?

The Gingerbread Man is fun, yet simple story, perfect for young children to develop expression and drama skills.
